Children’s visits and projects at TERRA
‘Permaculture for children and young people: We discover how to grow fruits and veggies with nature’s help.’
TERRA offers activities in the permaculture garden for groups of children and youngsters of all ages. The exact content of the activities depends on the season and the program is designed for each group individually, catering for the needs and interests of your group.
At TERRA, everyone can get his hands dirty: they sow, plant, weed, harvest and get the opportunity to discover the site in their free/play time. The biodiversity of the TERRA fields, with its planned pond, the bees, the orchard, the veggie beds etc. enables the group to discover different, interconnected ecosystems on a same site.
Throughout the workshops we encourage everyone to participate in a shared, practical learning experience.
We organize for (and with you) programs for half a day or a whole day, but also, exciting, longer projects that allow the children to witness and live the change of the seasons on the field and orchard and to really connect with nature.
All the activities can be adapted to the age (children and youngsters up to the age of 30) and needs of the group. The activities can be held in Luxembourgish, French, English and German.
